Dog Health Questions: Why are people so adamant about dog training?

I would just like to get peoples opinion on why you think people don't want to have properly trained and well behaved dogs? And why everyone feels the need to find a "quick fix" for bad or or even dangerous behaviors? Please be polite in answering this question,thanks

I see it all to often. People come to obedience class and expect their dog to become an obedience champion within a month. These people drop out of the obedience club when they do not see immediate results. They do not realize that it takes time and patience to train there dog to a basic level, let alone an advanced one.

Other people see well behaved dogs and think, "I'm going to get that type of dog" not realizing that it is the OWNER that made the dog well behaved through consistent and positive training and that a mixed or purebred pup does not come with acceptable "manners".

Some people buy their dog as a status symbol. Others want to look "tough" and get a tough looking dog.

A Long Tradition of Dog Training

  People get dogs and don't realize how much work it is to have a well behaved, trained dog and then don't follow through on all that work out of sheer laziness.
