Dog Health Questions: I just recently became a certified dog trainer.?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get my dog training up and running. I work at pet co and i am always talking to people about dog training and everyone seems very intrested but then no one calls back.... i have very reasonable prices and am willing to travel to their houses.

Dog Training vs Horse Training

Recommended Answer:
Advertise Advertise Advertise!!!!!! Also try going around to some of the veterinarian offices in your area and leaving some business cards. If you know any BREEDERS in your area(sometimes they shop at pet stores) give them some business cards to pass out to new puppy owners. Go to the Humane Society leave some business cards. Post your business on Craigslist. Keep talking up your business, the more people who know your out there, the more people who can find you when they need you.

Dog Training Collars - A Helping Tool

  • Aside from word of mouth, I use craigslist. Works great over here.

  • Volunteer some time to local shelters. This will give you plenty of business & experience from pets that need good behaviors for their new home. Or with several rescues so they will be willing to pass your info to new owners.

  • Can you train dogs to do tricks? If you don't know how, then maybe that will help. Because, you can advertise that you can train for tricks.

If you don't know how to teach tricks, then I recommend going to http://teachdogtricks.ebookstogether.com…

Once you get there, click on the link for: Dog Tricks Training Program. Read through this. These are not stupid tricks. These are actually tricks that help people -like bringing them their slippers or newspaper or tv remote, etc.

No, I did not write it. Written by a professional trainer. I just think that it is great.

    Hope this helps!
