Electronic Dog Training Collars
Recommended Answer:
How much exercise are they getting? Are you giving them one on one training time?
Train your dogs separately, and always pair commands with their names so that you can control them individually (e.g. call them out of the car one at a time). A command without a name applies to both of them.
Walk and play with your dogs separately sometimes, so that you get to know them as individuals. This also gives an older dog a much needed break from an energetic puppy. Even if there is only a small age gap, eventually one of them will be left alone; if they have never been separated they will find it difficult to cope.
There are dog training places around, you need to pick up you phone book and call around.
Is Your Dog Training You?
- you separate them and teach the behaviors separately before you expect them to both preform them at the same time.
- You don't train two dogs at the same time, you train the behaviors and commands separately and only work on them together when the dogs have learned them. Get a family member to take one of the dogs and you take one and find a local obedience trainer or obedience training group. Sign up for basic obedience, manners, or a canine good citizen test class.
The hands-on help of the trainer is what you need most right now. Preparing for weekly classes will keep you accountable to continue training and the trainer will be able to see things in you, your dogs, and how you work together that will let them help you solve your problems.
Please do not try Ceasar's methods at home, at best they are more than the average dog needs, at worst they are abusive and can be deadly when not performed by an expert.
