Dog Training - Dog Training Techniques
Recommended Answer:
Well, if your family can't behave, they need to leave the room. LOL
What I would probably do is make sure the dog is not allowed in the room while everyone is eating. You could either block access, or train the dog to lie down in another room while meals are going on, or even feed her at the same time in a different room. That way, those eyes won't be tempting family members. It will unfortunately be a very hard habit to break now.
And then knock your relatives over the noggin!
Dog Training Has Many Benefits
- well inforce the laws about your dog to your family and if he begs flick it on the nose and tell it NO in a strong voice make it know you are the alpha male and for the other thing idk but i hope i helped
- Try teaching "Out". Out is the command I give my dogs to make them leave the kitchen during meal time. If they come back in I just give them the command again. Huskies are pretty bright so she should pick it up quickly.
Add: Just out of curiosity, are you a Wolf's Rain fan? - I have a dog and he used to beg too. It IS a natural dog thing to beg since our table scraps smell so good, but there is usually a way to stop it. When my family and I cut down on slipping our dog table scraps, he also stopped begging. If your family keeps feeding your dog scraps, try scaring them into working with you. Tell them your dog is either going to get sick because our food is treated differently and most of it isn't good for them anyway. You could also tell them if he gets sick enough, hes going to die, or you could tell them hes going to get obese and die or at least become unfun. My parents did that to me and it freaked me out, so I stopped right away, so it would definetly work on the younger kids. If it doesn't work, there is really nothing else you can do unless you can watch your entire family 24/7. so....hope this helped :D
