I have a lower form autism and I have sever social anxiety/social detachment. My therapist suggested to looking into having a service dog training,
so I can be more independent. It would be very helpful to me to find someone or something,
I would love to go to the store and not have melt downs cause of people, sounds, and along with minor delays.
People don't realize that they take a lot for granted, especially when they are out in the big world. I have to admit that it is a scary place.
I do live alone with three dogs, which was a big step of what little independence I have, but I never come out of my house.
I function at a degree where I am comfortable in my own little world.
My mother takes care of me, she takes care of all the major, but basic everyday things (shopping, bills, etc.). I took it upon myself
to find what I am looking for. I call it the great mission, it would be wonderful to take another baby step. If I can find someone
with an understanding of my disability and what I am looking for, I be happy as rain.
I do have a awesome dog AKC beagle with a good temperament. I got him last year from Racine WI, he is going to be 2 on August 15th
and his name is Ollie. I take him all over the place along with his brother (plott hound), well not really all over, to my mother's house and back.
He is a follower and he loves to please, very determined little guy, especially when food is involved.
I was suggested by a family member to have him trained, beagles are such hard workers, some think otherwise.
Well any way, if anyone has information please let me know via email but put "Beagle" in the subject.
