1) excessive barking
2) Is not completely house trained
3) If you open the door she runs out it, then will not come to you. This morning I chased her though our complex for 2 hours before being able to corner her.
4) Not listening..You call her name and she will ignore you unless she feels like answering you.

1. Check out Cesar Millan's link below about barking.
2. You must take the dog out everytime she wakes up and after they eat.
Cesar (The Dog Whisperer) has video's and books out that will help you understand your dog!
What You Should Know About Dog Training Techniques
- sounds like your dog needs exercising. are you walking her twice a day (30 min each)? dogs that are kept inside have all this energy & need to release it. (the chase is evident of this.)
you can buy a citronella collar from the pet store that will spray when she barks. it could be that she is bored also. walking her in AM & PM should help this as she will be tired/content & less agitated to bark. you can buy chew toys to entertain her during the day too. kong filled w/ peanut butter is a favorite of my dog.
take her to the same place every day to do her business. she will smell the area & know it is time to "do it" there. place puppy pads in the kitchen or bathroom to catch any "accidents."
good luck! - With barking, you need to keep the dog occupied with something else. Make sure there are lots of toys available for your dog. Also, try to find the source of her parking, like if it's people walking around outside, close the blinds so she can't see.
To house train, you need to take her out on a regular schedule every day, and praise her a lot when she goes outside.
When you open the door, make sure she's on a leash so she can't get out. If you're the one leaving or trying to come in, try to block off the way to the door (eg, if it's a door in the kitchen, block her away from the kitchen so she can't get to the door).
As for the not coming when you call her, that might take more time.
You should go to the library to find some books on dog training. Also, a clicker is not an expensive extra. They only cost a couple bucks. You'll have to spend money on treats and such to help train her anyway. Is she a puppy? These are all traits of a very poorly trained dog. - Obedience class can help you with each and every one of these issues. It is a must for a healthy, safe, happy dog. I bought a clicker for $1.98, if you can't afford that then how are your affording a dog and a move? Classes vary in price. Petsmart has affordable classes. You really need to invest the time and money into training your dog, for your sake, the dog's sake and the sake of your new neighbors. I paid $89 for a 'shock' collar for my dog. I picked one with a negative tone and a positive tone. I strictly use the tones and not the shocks, so it is harmless to him. I know that is quite pricey, but you must do something before you end up with thousands in vet bills after being hit by a car. Good luck! By the way, my 8 month old will stop in his tracks with one command, even when in hot pursuit of the cat! That is what puppy class did for us.
- I don't know of anyone who can train a dog in two weeks, but obedience will, as already pointed out, take care of every one of these issues. An untrained dog is not only a pain in the butt, it's basically a much less happy dog.
- Try getting a muzzle and get her to trust you a more give her treats to sit and go to a local petsmart after a dog class and ask the trainer for tips.Don,t yell at you,re dog while training and if dog looks restless or bored take a 30 minutes break from training and switch treats to keep him interested.
- I can't give you any magic answers nor quick fixes that are cheap or free. A good dog training book that can be checked out at the library might help you. "How To Raise a Puppy You Can Live With" is one that I recommend. Another is "How to Be Your Dog's Best Friend" . Many librarys have these free for check out. Place a cord on her collar (hopefully she is wearing a collar) so you can step on it as she bolts the door. This will also help with the listening issue as you can make her listen. Housetraining will be helped by using a crate and a cord as well as a schedule. Yapping is an issue with small dogs. Sounds like she is a brat and needs some discipline. A clicker will not train her. YOU!!! need to train her. You need to find a few dollars and engage a good trainer or class. Either that or find her another home. Sorry if this is harsh but this is reality.
- You haven't told us what breed she is. That would help to know just how much exercise and attention she needs. Also, how old is she? She definitely needs obedience training. Check with your local shelters (city/county/rescue) as they can direct you to an free or inexpensive one to help. If you do not get her trained, you will not be happy with her and she could end up as a problem dog in the shelter. Remember, you teach your children to behave and you should do the same thing with your pets. I am in the process of re-training an 8 mth lab/golden retreiver shelter dog to not be afraid of the word NO and house training her to her new name and safe home. It is sad that an 8 lb cat lifting his paw to a 45 lb dog causes the dog to hit the ground belly up. So please find a class to train your dog correctly.
