Dog Health Questions: Dog training help please?

my dog is very active. i try to play frisbee with her in front yard. we dont have a fenced in yard. for a good 5 minutes, she'll play and be excelent. then, out of nowhere, randomly, she just takes off and runs into the back yard and then shes gone. it takes a long time to get her back. i really need a way for her to be able to play frisbee with me without running away.

If your dog is active they sell "backpacks" at Petsmart. You can put small 1lb weights in there, adding more weight accordingly...or water bottles and take them on walks. The extra weight tires them out much more quickly!! Maybe you need to give her additional exercise besides just frisbee!! What type of dog is it??

• get an invisible fence. it will give the dog a little shock when she goes outside the boundaries. or when she leaves and you get her back spank her and tell her no very sternly. she will know that she is in trouble and don't pet her for awhile that way she knows that she is in trouble. good luck.


• Try training her with a 30 ft lead like we do with labs. You can anchor it to the ground on her side of the yard.
