Both dogs are walked twice daily, 7 days a week, 1/2 mile each interval, and we play with them constantly. So the exercise is there... he's just so determined to make friends with my other dog it's crazy.
This has made my Shih Tzu reclusive!
Easy Steps to Boxer Dog Training

Bulldogs play rough, it is the nature of this beast. You will have a hard time trying to yell and get him off of the little one because sometimes they have one tract minds. The bulldog needs more time walking than the shih does. I walk my bullies 3 miles a day, obviously not all at the same time. He thinks the little one is his playmate/toy. Putting a gate between them is gonna cause more strife than needed. Walk the bullie more and the shih will put him in his place. These are dogs not kids and they will fall into place when its time. Older dogs naturally tell the little ones what to do. The bullie will calm down at about 3 years maybe sooner, LOL. Good luck.
Dog Training - Fun Ways to Train Your Dog
- let the dogs interact from opposite sides of a baby gate. have one dog on one side and the other on the opposite side. This will teach your puppy that he can interact with your older dog without jumping all over him. If this works, you can eventually let them together in the same room but if your puppy gets rough again, give him a time out. Put him in a different room when he gets too rough. Don't let him get away with bullying your older dog. Eventually he will understand that he has to be gentle.
- Well make sure whenever you see your bulldog jump on your other dog you tell your bulldog not to jump on your other dog. I really doesn't know why he does it maybe he is just trying to play.?
- Call Cesar Milan, The Dog Wisperer! He would know how to fix the problem! Or just get one of his books.
- Well, I don't have advice. I do have a resource, however, that you could look up. www.cesarmillaninc.com I don't know if you've heard of Cesar Millan, but he can solve any doggy problem. Look around through that website, and maybe you'll find the answer you are looking for
