Dog Health Questions: Is this a good dog training game?

This is the game for my training command "stay". I say stay several times while throwing the ball and if they move i put my voice louder stay and my chihuahuas stay!Now they're starting to stay without needing me to raise my voice(not screaming at them). So should i continue?The distraction seems to be increasing there endurance when my mom comes from work. Then i say "go" when they're done with their job.

What is not good is repeating commands. You need to teach your dogs that when you say "stay" they do it until you release them. If you repeat the command you teach them that they can ignore your commands.

• Like the other person said, you shouldn't repeat your command, other than that it's a good way to train. Just say stay once, and if they get up, make a sound to correct them, calmly put them back in a sit, and say stay again then (but just once). They should learn that you're going to say it once, and they have to hold the stay until you release them. I say "okay" as my release, but "go" works, too.
