Hi I lost my King charles due to old age and my 2 year old female just was not the same without her. I decided on a male. The male is just under 12 months and has come form a breeder that shows dogs and has obviously caged him . Over the past 8 weeks he has just been constantly peeing and pooping all over, When i let him outside he does go!!! but comes straight back in and does it again. I do have him caged but the neighbours will be complaing soon as he just barks all of the time. Even when i walk him he still comes back in and does it again. No mess in cage though. I just dont want him to be caged all of the time. My choices are at the moment , let him bark all day or let him use my house as a loo. I put him out every hour but he is still peeing all over the rooms he's in. I have carpets and young children and just dont know what to do. King charles are all that i have had and have never had such problems. my female loves him and so do we. Please does anyone know what to do!!!!!

Recommended Answer:Is he neutered? If not, it sounds like he's marking his territory. Unless you plan on showing him yourself, I would suggest getting him neutered, it could save you a whole lot of stress in this regard. Good luck!

Basically, you have to treat your dog like it is a 3 months old puppy ..
