Dog Training - Instructions to Train Your Dog
Recommended Answer:
I am in the UK and my excellent trainer is a retired metropolitan police dog handler and trainer for over 37 years. He now does sniffer dog work all over the uk and trains pet and working dogs for people.
He holds a Sunday morning class where he lays tracks and for people and teaches obedience and the more experienced of us muck in and help out with the beginners. He charges £5 a person for Sunday mornings and there is usually at least 9-10 pupils on average.
Individual hour long lessons in the week for working or pet dog training is £15 for the hour. Specialised training like manwork or security work is a larger fee according to the work required.
Home visits are around £50 for an hours consultation and assessment of a dog.
He never has to advertise for clients as they all come to him by recommendation and word of mouth.
hope this has helped a bit.
A lot of people are wary of trainers without qualifications to actually show so you may find it difficult at first to find clients but if you are a good trainer, word will soon get around. Good Luck.
