Let's see...because if they don't perform up to his standards...they are killed. If not by the other dog then by the person who trained it. - because some people love animals... i mean why did he have to tourture the dogs? what did these dogs ever do to make him do it? sure, its about money and that is understandable, but these dogs are suffering. He should be drowned - It isn't so much the dog fighting it is what he did to the dogs when they didn't perform to his standards. He hung them and electrocuted them to get rid of ones that couldn't measure up in the dog fighting arena. I hope they throw the book at him.

2)because the prosecutors love high profile cases.If this were some average guy from Detroit, they wouldn't really care too much.

I don't like dog fighting, but putting him in jail for over a year seems unfair compared to other punishment vs.crime.
