What are they fighting? Other dogs? Intruders? Predators?
The only reason I ask is because I'm wondering why you included three Livestock Guard Dog breeds in there.
Of the ones you listed:
People: Fila Brasileiro and Cane Corso most likely. Their massive body structure gives them a distinct advantage against humans. The Fila would win overall because of its heritage and historical purpose.
Dogs: Pit Bull terrier would probably be the winner here. Bred for dog fighting, with the powerful jaws and musculature needed to hold their own against other dogs (who are more agile than humans). I think their agility would give them an advantage over the Tosa, but I don't know enough about Tosas to be sure.
Predators: Because of the instincts that have been bred into them, the LGDs are more likely to go after predators than the other breeds, which would give them the advantage. Of the breeds mentioned, the Owtcharka probably has the most aggressive temperament with a little more size behind it than the Akbash. The Pyr is more of an "outweigh and outlast" sort of defender.

- hmmmmmmmmmmm uhhhhhhhhh duhhhhhhh errrrrrrr now let me think UMMMM ...................................
- I would say any terrier type they are quick and agile enough to harm before any other breed has had time to think..
- *sighs* It's a pitbull it was bred to be a fighting dog, that's why they have such a bad rep. Great Pyrenees isn't even CLOSE to being a good fighting dog, I own one her name is Belle she is so sweet, but I guess that could just be my dog. Well this question does upset me (but that is just my instinct) but I guess curiosity is curiosity...
- I HOPE THIS IS A JOKE!!!GO FIND A DIFFERENT HOBBY, CAUSE NATURALLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY SOMEONE WHO THINKS DOG FIGHTING IS WRONG DOESN'T JUST THINK,"UMMMM.....WONDER WHAT BREED OF DOG IS BEST FOR FIGHTING!!!!"
- an american pitbull terrier. i have a 7 month old puppy.
- I would say it depends on the extent to which they are trained. I've seen some pretty tough dogs of all kinds. Personally, I think Pits are among the top 3. Just my opinion. C-ya!
- Giant Schnauzer.
Arf. - Pitbulls have great muscle tone, speed, and lock their jaws. Hence why they have a bad rep in general. But wolves can take a pitbull down in a second. A friend of mine owns 3 wolves as house dogs and one nearly killed a pit in their yard.
- Oh I agree w/ Amy.Pit bulls for sure!
- now it depends on what kind of dog your looking at a newer breed or an older breed. pit bulls are newer and the American bull dog is very old and has fighting in the blood. most the dogs you have listed are not good fighting dogs the ones you have listed that may be good fighting dogs are tosa fila and the pit bull. I'm not sure about the fila and the owtcharka but they are not know fighting.
- pit bulls
- anydog that can be taught to be aggressive could be a fighting dog
- Pit bull is noted for it's fighting ability.
- The game American Pit Bull Terrier . No other breed comes close.
- Hmm I own a rotty pit and she would make for an awesome fighting dog,, but I would never fight her she would get her butt kicked.
- a pitbull is one of THE best fighting dogs. it was bred to kill bulls in spain. so, that would be your best bet for best fighting dog, because it wants to fight to the death of its opponent.
(oh, and the cardinals (baseball team) is awesome. been a fan all my life, and am SO happy they won! anyways, i hope that answers your question.)
oh, and i hate dog fighting, but i just know a lot about anything that involves dogs. - A Pitbull crossed with an AKITA... the locking jaws of the pitbull and hooked teeth from the akita... I heard someone was arrested for breeding that mix....
