Dog Health Questions: Male Dog training question?

My friends male dog is not very trained he pees on everything and lifts his leg on everything.He is 2 years old my dog is five and very trained but not flawless.When my dog and his dog get together for play dates my dog is very bad the whole rest of the day.My dog who never pees in the house will follow my friends dog and pee on everything also. How do I keep my dog from following the other dog he only does it when they are together

• Well if they are both males and one is marking chances are the other male is going to follow and mark over where he did. Watch him around your friend's dog and when you see him about to lift his leg on something clap your hands and make a loud noise. This should be enough to startle him and if you keep at it he'll soon associate when he is lifting his leg to pee on something in the house hes going to get startled by a loud noise.


• It will continue to happen unless your friends dog get trained. Here is some good advice don't let them have play dates inside the house until one of them is very well trained

• Is your friend's dog fixed? That can usually solve most of the problem.


• Sounds like they are marking. Are both dogs in tact?
