Helpful Tips on Dog Training
Recommended Answer:
Yorkies generally should eat 1⁄4 to 1⁄2 cup of food daily. What you might want to do it break it into two 1/4 cup feedings for your dog. You'll want to keep an eye on your dog to make sure it's not only eating it's food but that it's not eating your other dog's food too. This could result in a pudgy Yorkie.
Also, when you say "go out" are you referring to exercise and playtime or in generally be let out to use the bathroom? It really all depends on your dog. But for exercise and playtime you should try to either go on a decent walk or let them out to play a couple of times throughout the day. And be sure to provide toys for your Yorkie as well while inside the house.
As for your other dog, it really all depends on what breed it is. DogChannel.com has a lot of breed specific articles if you wanted a good resource on dog care.

- Hi Alice,
A yorkie does not need too many calories, only maybe 1/2 cup to 1 cup of good food daily but make sure it has all the vitamins and minerals it needs to be healthy.
Most dogs need to go out about every 3 to 4 hours.
I put a link below where you can get a free dog owners manual. - I dont know because my dogs all eat human food . I suggest human foods for your yorkies . My dogs (i have 5) all eat this secret recipe: (delicious and healthy)
- ground beef
- olive oil
- cheese
- rice
- carrots
- salt & pepper
I recommend that recipe because its healthy and easy to make. It is great for bigger dogs but you just have to give your yorkies less. As for taking them out i'd say about once a day . - I have a miniature yorkie. She ways 4 lbs. I feed her half a cup every day and let her out every 4 hours when possible but she can go 8 hrs without peeing. I have a miniature pom who ways 7 lbs and eats a cup a day and goes out every 4 hours and can hold it for 10.
