Do a Good Job of Dog Training
- Yahoo Answers without giving where you are located is hardly the way to gather information about this place. Ask around in your community at vets, humane societies and other dog owners around.
- Bark Busters totally worked for my yappie yorkie. Now hes more laid back and only barks when strangers knock on the door or sometimes when we walk and he gets excited. But YES it works!!
- I have only heard bad things about Bark Busters, nothing positive.
- Why not just contact your local kennel club? Most kennel clubs hold obedience classes on a regular basis. Most all of the trainers for kennel clubs are well known obedience judges and trainers. This is a franchise, go with the private trainer from a kennel club.
- I called them once for my dog and I got a receptionist that took my message for my area, but I never got a call back. They were suppose to contact me back but I waited the whole day without a response so I let them go. I've never heard of any one else's experience but I researched them before calling and they have a satisfaction guarantee.
About the kennel club: yes usually your local kennel club would offer obedience lessons, BUT I'm currently in a kennel club's obedience training, and I must say I'm very disappointed in the trainer. It's old schooled and the trainer is definitely not well equipped in dog behavior and training. The trainer is more knowledgeable in conformation which is useless to me. However, I'm making the most of it, and my dog is benefiting form the sheer fact that he is being exposed to many dogs of all breeds while having to behave.
I recommend you take it to a place that is specialized in dog training in your area, not petsmart. Go watch their sessions, they should be more than happy to have you sit in and watch. And if you think they're knowledgeable, enroll. Best wishes.
